As I posted a couple of weeks ago, we were preparing to head down to Oregon Raceway Park for our first track session of the year, and I had a turbo failure on ConVerTT 1.0, almost exactly 3 weeks before the event. Long story short, ordered parts, pulled the engine a week ago Thursday, worked like a dog all week, and fired her up the following week on Good Friday. Had a couple of minor shakedown issues but she is running and we are back on schedule. Thanks to Seb, for parts and patience. And thanks to VorpalZ and his buddy Jeff from Edmonton who drove down and helped me finish it off on Good Friday. And a special thanks to Rudy Benson (RUDEE) who, unrelated to this turbo issue, sold me a set of silver LMGT4's in the CORRECT z32 offset (30 and 38). They are an amazingly lightweight wheel and the VerTTs absolutely love dropping unsprung weight.
Here are a couple of pics: The Good:
The Bad:
New shoes shod in 255/35/18's Front and 285/35/18's rear. Back in love :)
